Women and Politics

It takes a strong woman to remain true to herself and true to womanhood even when involved in politics.  The traditional roles of women are not extinct nor are they to be pushed aside.  We are simply at a point in history where we can choose to go beyond those roles.  Our voice is becoming stronger and so for many of us the problem now is how to balance it all.

For centuries we have been good at joggling, we have been mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend …now we add another ball -politician.
I would love to see female politicians remain true to womanhood, remain true to their role as caregiver .  This involves holding firmly to the things that are true and being bearers of the truth.  It is a call for them to serve their nations in the same way that they would serve their families; with humility (yes a dash of humility is always good), and love.
If women who are involved in politics lack integrity and a genuine love for their people, then what?
