I was asked not too long ago what “guard your heart” really means.  The answer isn’t cut and dry, especially because each of us has different experiences, different relationships, different baggage, etc.  However, when asked this question, I attempted to answer with an analogy that I’d like to share with you now.  I told the young woman the following:

It is amazing the way gossip spreads one person says something and then every body else takes it and sprinkle it all over the place.

The article basically talks about women and the reasons they stay in relationship with men who cheat on them. It is a sad fact that most men DO cheat. Note well I didnt say that all men cheat. There ARE those men out there who understand that basically you shouldn't dish out what you do not want in relationships and so they tend to be the ones to love and respect their girlfriends and wives enough to not to hurt or open them to risks (eg STD's ) by cheating.

People will always be sizing you up- at work, at school, at play, and at home. So what?

We should never forget it so I am going to say it again, love like you have never been hurt.

I am not saying to be stupid and ignore the signs of a bad relationship waiting to run you over like a stone roller. Oh no!

Yesterday I ran into an old friend of mine. A guy I had not spoken to in more than 8 years, so we took the chance to talk about a few things, and about everything.

During the conversation he lamented on what he called a "foolish and hasty decision" he made a few years ago. I listened, smiled (as I always do, right Dianna lol), and then reminded him that "all things work for good". His response? I shall share that with you now.
