In Memory of Patrice

Some years ago you barged into my life, Your sense of humour and that warm glowing smile Made it impossible for me not to share with you Nights of late night chatting making memories of SJCK new. You seemed so innocent and naive at first But you soon revealed your life was not without hurt. To be so young, talented, and bright That must have been what instilled their spite. Because to know you Patrice, my friend Was to know roses without thorns, joy with no end.

They say there is a master plan for us all; God knows best he wouldn't allow us to fall. So Patrice I pray that if he took you away, He'll keep you safe night and day. And when the sun makes way for night You'll be that first star with warm blushing light; Reassuring us and giving strength for all times That you're still a Princess, with a heart truly divine.
