Happy Mother's Day that is all I have to say
To all the Mom's both near and far ;
Who give unconditional love every day!

Growing up a friend said to me once "you are just like your mother" and I remember being really upset but now a much older and a little wiser I really like when people say that. 


My mother and I don't always see eye to eye because sadly lol she has taught me to be able to form my own opinions and be steadfast about them.  From a very young age I understood that friends are important but being me and being of an independent mind were far more important.

When you grow up in a single-parent home it gives you a greater understanding of how strong a woman could be.  You are able to see one woman do EVERYTHING and in most instances, like mine, do it well. 

Maybe one day I will have a chance to be a mother but until then I am left with a bit of jealousy towards those who have already been granted that opportunity.  My only wish is that when the time comes I will be able to be as strong and as good an influence as my own mother has been to me.
