The world is a confusing place and boy girl relationships simply make things worse. :)

Ok ignore the smiley face I am quite serious.

I have been listening to Pink's "Just Give Me a Reason", and every time I play it the line "we're just bent, not broken" sticks with me . The song goes on to say "we can learn to love again".

I believe though that there are two things you cannot force- love and compatibility.

Now before I ramble on and on the question is this- "When do you consider a relationship bent and not broken?

5 Body Language Tips to Increase Your Curb Appeal

A long time before your performance proves them right or wrong, people will have made an emotional decision about whether to follow you, trust you, or even listen to you. They’ll do that by evaluating your curb appeal.

In The Political Brain, Drew Weston talks about curb appeal as one of the main determinants of electoral success. According to Weston: “Curb appeal is the feeling voters get when they ‘drive by’ a candidate a few times on television and form an emotional impression.” For years now, I’ve noted that people judge business leaders in much the same way.

So a question I frequently ask my clients is: What’s your personal curb appeal? How do team members, customers and colleagues feel about you when they “drive by” your office a few times, observe you in the corporate hallways, or attend meetings you lead?

Healthy Breakfast Tips: Avoid These Morning Mistakes

Breakfast Mistakes

By Keri Gans for U.S. News Health
Many of my patients admit to skipping breakfast with this excuse: Whenever they eat in the mornings, they wind up feeling much hungrier than if they hadn't eaten at all. Sound familiar? My nutrition intuition tells me that they're not feeling hungrybecause they ate breakfast, but rather, because they ate the wrong breakfast. In my years working with patients, I've found that for some people with good intentions, there seems to be a disconnect with what they consider a healthy breakfast.

Symptoms of fibroids may include:
  • Heavy Vaginal Bleeding — Excessively heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding is a common symptom. Women describe soaking through sanitary protection in less than an hour, passing blood clots and being unable to leave the house during the heaviest day of flow. As a result, some women develop anemia, also known as a low blood count. Anemia can cause fatigue, headaches and lightheadedness.

If heavy bleeding interferes with your everyday activities or if you develop anemia, you should see your doctor to discuss fibroid treatment options.
  • Pelvic Discomfort — Women with large fibroids may feel heaviness or pressure in their lower abdomen or pelvis. Often this is described as a vague discomfort rather than a sharp pain. Sometimes, the enlarged uterus makes it difficult to lie face down, bend over or exercise without discomfort.
  • Pelvic Pain — A less common symptom is acute, severe pain. This occurs when a fibroid goes through a process called degeneration. Usually, the pain is localized to a specific spot and improves on its own within two to four weeks. Using a pain reliever, such as ibuprofen, can decrease the pain significantly. However, chronic pelvic pain can also occur. This type of pain is usually mild but persistent and confined to a specific area.
  • Bladder Problems — The most common bladder symptom is needing to urinate frequently. A woman may wake up several times during the night to empty her bladder. Occasionally, women are unable to urinate despite a full bladder.

These symptoms are caused by fibroids pressing against the bladder, reducing its capacity for holding urine or blocking the outflow of urine. Treatment for bladder problems can provide great relief.
  • Low Back Pain — Rarely, fibroids press against the muscles and nerves of the lower back and cause back pain. A large fibroid on the back surface of the uterus is more likely to cause back pain than a small fibroid within the uterine wall. Because back pain is so common, it is important to look for other causes of the pain before attributing it to fibroids.
  • Rectal Pressure — Fibroids also can press against the rectum and cause a sensation of rectal fullness, difficulty having a bowel movement or pain with bowel movements. Sometimes, fibroids can lead to the development of a hemorrhoid.

It is important for you to be in a job that you love.

Why embark on a career path simply to make others happy? At the end of the day you will be the one getting out of bed to go to this job, not them.

No job is easy, but doing something you like ensures that when the days get rough you will be able to 'smile at the storm'.

Many are in jobs that reward them financially but at the end of each day they feel drained and hate the fact that tomorrow is going to find them at the same desk. Money isn't everything.

If the job you are in makes you miserable, get out.

They say; “ no good turn goes on unpunished”.

I am reminded of this daily. You stop to give someone a ‘shelter’ under your umbrella and the next thing you know they are pushing you out into the rain. You save a seat for someone and somebody else comes in and gives you a few choice words for doing so.
There I am at the supermarket today waiting on a ride home, three children come up to me; “Miss this money could spend here?” they flash Trini dollar bills at me. I told them no and then questioned them a bit, “where did you get the money from?”,  “why aren’t you at home?”…

Human Papillomavirus Image
HPV infection is associated with virtually all cases of cervical cancer. HPV is among the most common sexually transmitted diseases and most women clear the infection within two years without complications. Long term infection with high-risk strains of HPV can lead to the development of cervical dysplasia and cancer.(1)
Because of the very high correlation between HPV infection and cervical cancer, the following paragraphs describe HPV in more detail.
The Human papillomaviruses are a family of sexually transmitted viruses consisting of over 100 different viral strains, 40 of which are known to infect the human genital tract and 15 of which have been associated with cervical cancer. Most infections are asymptomatic, but some strains of HPV lead to the development of genital warts.

Ever start up a conversation with an ex and then slap yourself 5 seconds into the conversation?

Most of us have that one idiot we simply can’t stand, although we try.

You walk into a bar there he is, you look around because you think to yourself there must be someone else around who you know. Hmm …no one…

You say a word of prayer as you walk over, big smile on your face that somehow gets bigger with each step… “Hey”.

He responds cheerfully, you whisper ; “Thank you, Lord”.

At this moment it is as though the Devil himself takes over and the idiot just starts ranting, next thing you know, he is calling you names.

How did you get from “Hey” to “Look , don’t let me knock you out with this stool”

Who are these crazy people and why don’t they come with a danger sign.

It would be soooo good if when we meet someone we could hit the ffwd button to take a peak…to see how the relationship would it…would it be over after two years or would it be until death.  That would make steering clear of the psychos a lot easier.

It is truly a sign of immaturity when someone simply cannot let a relationship die peacefully. Try not to be that someone, don’t call people names to make yourself feel better about being left, you only make a bigger fool of yourself.

I am not one for making New Year resolutions because I think that if you wish to change something in your life you will just do it; you don’t need a new year to do so. I do understand that some people just need to mark an ‘official’ start time, and I respect that. Now, after saying all that I made a resolution- to blog more.  J

So here beginneth … hmm not sure if that is a double n or not…oh well

A friend of mine called me today to look at a post on Facebook . She felt it was in poor taste, and oddly amusing , I am yet to determine how I feel about the post. Let me explain.

There is this young lady boldly proclaiming that she is praying to find a man, I rather not use spouse because that could be man or woman… so yes she is praying to find a man in 2013.

Is that faith in God or desperation?
